Information about Air Baltic flights

Air Baltic Flight Tickets

Air Baltic is a state-owned airline that was founded in 1995 and has its headquarters in Riga, Latvia. Air Baltic serves over 50 international destinations through its main hub in Riga. Popular destinations include Reykjavik, Tel Aviv, Rome, Venice, and St. Petersburg. Air Baltic offers flights to German-speaking areas such as Vienna, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Salzburg, and Zurich.

The airline has partnerships with many other airlines such as Belavia, Aeroflot, KLM, Alitalia, and British Airways. The fleet consists of 25 aircraft with an average age of 8.4 years. Passengers can earn and redeem miles through the BalticMiles loyalty program. Air Baltic was awarded the title of the world's most punctual airline by OAG in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, it welcomed its one millionth passenger on the popular Oslo-Riga route.

Air Baltic Online Check-In

For most flights, online check-in is available and opens 5 days before the flight. There is an additional fee for check-in at the airport counter. Visit the airline's website, select the "Web Check-in" option, and enter your ticket number. At the end of the process, you can print your boarding pass. Alternatively, you can use the Air Baltic app on your smartphone. You can add your mobile boarding pass as a barcode to PassBook or PassWallet and conveniently scan it during boarding. If you are traveling with only carry-on baggage, you can proceed directly to the security checkpoints at the airport.

Air Baltic Carry-on Luggage

The carry-on baggage regulations at Air Baltic depend on the booking class. Passengers in the Basic or Premium class are allowed to carry one piece of carry-on baggage weighing 8 kg. Business class passengers and PINS VIP cardholders can carry two pieces of carry-on baggage. The dimensions of each carry-on baggage should not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Additionally, each person is allowed one personal item such as a laptop, a small ladies' handbag, or an umbrella.

No separate carry-on baggage is provided for infants, but the airline transports a collapsible stroller free of charge. Baby food can be carried in reasonable quantities in carry-on baggage but may need to be presented at the security checkpoint upon request. Similarly, liquids such as hand cream, toothpaste, and shower gel need to be screened separately. These should be kept in individual containers of up to 100 ml and placed in a 1-liter resealable plastic bag.

Air Baltic Baggage

The allowed free baggage allowance at Air Baltic depends on the booking class. Business class and economy class passengers are allowed 2 and 1 baggage pieces weighing 20 kg each, respectively. Basic class passengers do not have any free baggage allowance, but additional baggage can be added if needed. The dimensions of each baggage piece should not exceed 50 x 80 x 100 cm, and the maximum weight is 32 kg. For infants under 2 years old, an additional baggage piece weighing 10 kg can be added. Clearly label your baggage with your name and address. Information on fees for transporting golf clubs, other sports equipment, musical instruments, and other special baggage items can be found on the airline's website.
