Esbjerg is located in the southwest of the Jutland peninsula and is a port city. The trips are for both business and tourist purposes. The city has its own town hall and city administration. Esbjerg is the fifth largest city in Denmark and the largest city on the Jutland peninsula. This city was founded in 1868 as an alternative to the then important port city of Altona. In 1874 the railroad connection to the cities of Frederica and Varde was made available. In Esbjerg, Denmark's main fishing port at the time, fishing is still an important source of livelihood. This city is one of the most important export centers in the country. The Esbjerg flights are not direct flights.
From the airport to the city center
Esbjerg Airport is a small airport located 9.2 kilometers northeast of the city. It opened in 1971 and the primary use of it was to fly to the oil and gas platforms in the North Sea. There are daily flights to Aberdeen and Stavanger. You can get to the airport by bus or taxi. You can also rent cars within the airport.
